Is flavored coffee real coffee?
Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, which are the seeds of berries from the Coffea plant. The genus Coffea is native to tropical Africa, and Madagascar, Comoros, Mauritius, and Réunion in the Indian Ocean. The plant was exported from Africa to countries around the world and coffee plants are now cultivated in over 70 countries, primarily in the equatorial regions of the Americas, Southeast Asia, India, and Africa. The two most commonly grown are C. arabica and C. robusta. Once ripe, coffee berries are picked by hand; a labor-intensive method considering picking can only occur every two or three years for many growers because each tree only produces about 2 pounds (0.9 kg) of berries annually. After picking Coffee cherries typically undergo one of two processes—dry process or wet process—to remove their fleshy outer fruit layer (exocarp or pulp).
Are any sweeteners allowed on Whole30?
